Unquestionably one of the most popular escape/illusions ever created and first made famous by the Houdinis. You know the effect: The performer is handcuffed, tied into a cloth sack, and finally padlocked inside of a wooden packing crate. His assistant then stands on top of the crate and momentarily lifts a curtain. Seconds later it falls, to reveal that she has vanished, and the performer is now standing where she once stood! Next, he quickly unlocks the crate's lid, to discover that his assistant is now enclosed inside of the still-tied cloth sack, and wearing the handcuffs!
